Treasury Analyst

Job Summary

The Treasury Analyst, Debt and Capital Analysis, will work closely with the Treasury Director on several functions related to managing and monitoring operational issues with regards to the Company’s outstanding debt.  The treasury analyst will work with all treasury personnel to confirm that they are using the most up-to-date outlooks in their forecasts for debt related activities.  The treasury analyst will also work with Capital Markets, Financial Reporting, and Treasury teams to ensure debt related payments are made in a timely manner, accurate forecasting of interest expense, and proper accounting of transactions.

This position will report directly to the Treasury Director and work closely with Treasury Operations and the Capital Markets Group. There will also be interactions with those in the broader finance department as well as external parties.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Supports managing the relationships with trustees and administrators for debt related administrative tasks assigned to treasury , including correspondence with external parties.
• Reviews legal documents to understand F&G’s contractual payment and compliance obligations for each debt security.
• Leads the operational process for all debt interest and fee payments, including managing notifications from external sources, verifying calculations on all invoices, and ensuring correct and timely payment through required approvals and collaboration with treasury operations.
• Serves as liaison with Capital Markets to update all activity concerning financing sources and uses.
• Assists in the Capital Markets annual budget process to Develops budget forecast for any post-issuance recurring debt-related fees during Capital Markets annual budget process.
• Assists with the preparation and maintenance of Holdco liquidity forecasting activities.
• Monitors share repurchase program bytracking daily activity and distributing information to interested parties.
• Ensures timely payments of quarterly dividends on common and preferred shares.
• Maintains data spreadsheets containing information that is provided to other organizations as well as to internal audit
• Supports day-to-day cash positioning of the company, including wire entry, timely and accurate accounting, management and reporting of cash balances and movements in our various accounts, and management of daily cash position.
• Participates in Treasury projects and Treasury Management Systems (“TMS”) improvement activities such as implementation of debt module in the TMSas well as assisting in evaluation of the Treasury management system. 
• Interact with internal and external audit to ensure that control processes are being followed.

Experience and Education Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 1-3 years related professional experience in finance/treasury/accounting is required
• Experience with treasury workstations a plus
• Familiarity with accounting principlesis a plus
• Prior experience with an insurance company is a plus
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
