Treasury Analyst I

This position is responsible for performing various cash management, statistical, and payroll tax reporting duties.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and record bank account activity. Perform daily fraud control procedures.
• Share responsibilities with the Company's compensation and payroll tax activities, including remitting payroll tax withholdings in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations and filing the associated monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns.
• Assist in researching and responding to compliance notifications.
• Complete paperwork to establish new tax accounts or close discontinued accounts.
• Cross train and identify weaknesses in processes and controls. Problem solve and recommend process improvements.
• Respond to payroll/payroll tax questions from Human Resources, supervisors, or directly from employees.
• Assist with benefit enrollment audits and process payments to health plan providers.
• Complete monthly driver turnover statistics.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisory personnel.

Qualifications:

• Associates degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
• 1 year of payroll tax reporting experience and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• 1 year of Corporate Accounting experience
• Knowledge of transportation terminology usually gained through practical experience and on-the-job training.
• Strong attention to detail and self-review skills required.
• A self-starter and the ability to work independently.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience with Mastertax software is a plus.
