ABOUT THE ROLE

The Treasury and Budget Analyst provides financial analysis and analytical support to strategic treasury initiatives. You will be primarily responsible for the corporate treasury strategy including making effective use of cash and other financial instruments, and ensuring enough cash is available for upcoming obligations. This Analyst is a key member of the team and works with leaders across the organization to ensure financial success.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Treasury
    • Support online banking portals, reviewing daily account, and credit card activity as well as pulling all monthly bank statements and provide support for reconciliation activities led by Accounts Payable.
    • Analyze cash balances, current assets, and investments, and future financial obligations for liquidity analysis position.
    • Serve as a liaison with the Accounting and AP team to understand cash needs and vendor payment status.
    • Collaborate with Accounting, Finance, and other internal departments to determine funding needs, availability, and managing payments.
    • Manage all bank account activity including:
      • Assist investors with opening bank accounts.
      • Obtain investor approval for all payments.
      • Set up approved payments on bank portal.
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
    • Responsible for Budget vs. Actual analysis and reporting.
    • Support liquidity forecast activities in the short, medium, and long terms.
    • Responsible for the master tracking file of all payments for all projects and board approvals.
    • Assists in the development of annual budget and long-term forecast.
  • Collaborate with individual department, as well as cross-functionally with other departments within the organization.
  • Maintain organizational excellence in terms of project timelines and deliverables.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in treasury analysis, financial analysis, or related field.
  • Technology: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, and an ability to learn company-specific software programs, tools, processes, and machines.
  • Skills/Attributes:
    • Demonstrated ability with utility financial statements including income statements, cash flow, and balance sheet.
    • Experience in financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis.
    • Strong ability in problem solving, prioritization, and a sense of urgency.
    • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
