Treasury Associate
Job Description
The Treasury Associate will assist with firm-wide treasury operations at Hudson River Trading (HRT). The role will involve cross-team collaboration with a variety of HRTers to manage capital movements and maintain banking operations. To be successful in this role, you must have an interest in financial technology, capital markets, risk management, and process improvement, coupled with the critical thinking necessary to optimize the daily operations of the Treasury function.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all aspects of cash and capital management, including global bank administration, daily cash operations (corporate and trading-related), and risk management (FX)
- Monitor the firm’s capital and collateral used for trading purposes daily, including the calculation of USD and non-USD cash balances and projections
- Interact with Business Development, Financial Strategy, Operations, and Middle Office teams to optimize capital efficiency
- Assist with team projects and initiatives related to data collection, the buildout of analytical tools, and work process improvement and automation
- Coordinate with banking partners and internal teams to monitor and manage external compliance requests
- Support the vendor management verification process
- Support the rollout of new initiatives in cash and capital management, cash forecasting, and reporting areas within the treasury department
- Interact with external financial institutions
- Collaborate on system implementation projects to improve automation
- Assist with optimizing relationships with banking partners
- Identify analytical needs and process improvements
- Facilitate other ad hoc requests
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required
- 4+ years of experience in a similar role
- Series 99 or 27 required prior to starting with the firm, or must be obtained within 3 months following your start date
- Strong organizational skills and familiarity with bank account-related documentation
- Exceptional analytical and communication skills
- Working knowledge of SQL, Python, and VBA
- Attention to detail is a must
- Ability to handle multiple priorities in a time-sensitive and dynamic environment
Annual base salary range of $90,000 to $120,000. Pay (base and bonus) may vary depending on job-related skills and experience. A sign-on and discretionary performance bonus may be provided as part of the total compensation package, in addition to company-paid medical and/or other benefits.
