Job Description
The Treasury & Cash Associate will aid with the daily treasury functions of our company. In this role, you will assist with the tracking of cash and the reporting of daily cash transactions. As a Treasury Associate, you will be responsible for managing the company's cash flow, monitoring financial transactions, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. Your work will play a crucial role in the overall financial stability of our company.
Responsibilities
- Assist supervisor with the company's treasury activities.
- Manage the company's daily cash position and oversee cash management systems to ensure adequate liquidity.
- Maintain financial records, cash logs, and spreadsheets.
- Process treasury payments (ACH/wire/inter-bank transfer, etc.)
- Deposit any checks delivered to Corporate office.
- Maintain and foster open communication with Corporate banking relationship(s).
- Act as company administrator for all banking portals.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies and procedures.
- Perform daily cash reconciliations and monitor banking activity.
- Investigate and resolve discrepancies with cash transactions.
- Respond to inquiries and address transaction-related issues.
- Assist in the accounting and reporting for investor-level entities.
- Provide assistance to the Accounts Payable, Accounting and Tax departments.
- Assist in the weekly Check Run process.
- Assist in monthly Corporate Reimbursement Allocations.
- Document policies and procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with accounting, tax, and investor relation teams on various financial projects.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Treasury, Finance, or Accounting.
- Proficient with bookkeeping and accounting software.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain focused for extended periods and adhere to strict deadlines.
- Excellent mathematical and computer skills.
- Trustworthy and reliable, sensitivity to confidential matters is required.
- Knowledge of real estate finance and property management is a plus.
- Ability to both work independently and in a team environment.
