Treasury & Compliance Analyst

This position is responsible for maintaining the books and records for all treasury-related activity to ensure records properly reflect account balances and charges. Included in this are all working cash accounts, credit cards, and debt ledgers. Additionally, this individual will collaborate with the AP and AR staff to ensure accurate and timely recording of all transactions. Other duties include responsibility for monthly sales tax filings, audit support, and ensuring that cash disbursements are made according to company policies and industry best practices.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee and maintain accurate records for all banking and cash activities including revenue, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, payment of bank fees, wire transfers and ACH payments, petty cash and credit card transactions
• Perform month-end tasks including journal entry preparation, accruals, and general ledger account reconciliations
• Prepare and file tax returns (sales/use, business & occupation, gross receipts, & property tax) for monthly, quarterly & annual filings; prepare related schedules & reports
• Ensure cash-related balance sheet accounts are complete and assess missing data
• Gather information for income tax return preparation & other reporting requirements, as necessary
• Lead and respond to requests for state sales tax and other audits
• Perform risk assessments of current banking systems and internal cash handling processes 
• Research, suggest and implement new processes and controls to ensure best practices for all cash management activities
• Work with the Controller on cash flow tracking, forecasting, and cash building strategies
• Cover daily cash management (AR and AP) for team members when needed
• Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must possess or be able to qualify to receive a Colorado Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) support badge
• BS/BA in accounting or related field, or relevant work experience
• 5 years of accounting or finance experience
• Strong Excel spreadsheet skills and working knowledge of other Microsoft Office products
• Self-motivated, able to work independently as well as in teams
• Excellent Customer Service and Client-Relations Skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Knowledge of sales and use tax filing processes preferred.
• Proficiency with Dynamics 365 preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Sitting for extended periods of time
• Ability to perform the following physical tasks: sitting, standing, stooping, stretching, walking, bending, twisting, reaching, performing repetitive motions, and carrying boxes
• Regular attendance is expected and is considered an essential function necessary for the efficient operation of the business

COMPENSATION DETAILS:

• Pay Range: $70,000- $90,000; actual pay will be determined based on qualification
• Accrue paid time off (PTO) immediately; starting at 2.5 weeks per year
