Treasury Governance Senior Analyst

We are looking for an individual with an accounting background to join as a Treasury Governance Senior Analyst. Treasury is responsible for the cash management and operations, funding and liquidity planning; and balance sheet risk management of a rapidly growing FinTech company. This particular role will focus on governance and compliance for the overall Capital Org that includes Treasury, Capital Markets, Bank Partnerships, and Quantitative Markets.
In this role, you will have a unique opportunity to work cross-functionally and use quantitative and qualitative insights to drive better decision-making and operational improvements across the Capital organization. The ideal candidate will not only have the technical skills to support their recommendations, but also strong interpersonal skills to manage various stakeholders.
What you'll do

• Serve as a liaison between the Capital and Accounting teams around improvements, prioritization, and documentation of Capital-related monthly financial close processes and SOC audits
• Manage Capital team's deliverables related to monthly close cycle, to include valuation model outputs and reconciliations, audit requests, and ad hoc analyses
• Project oversight for Treasury organization around governance, operational excellence, and controls
• Assist with Business Continuity, Resiliency Planning, and other strategic initiatives
• Enhance capital structuring and pricing models tailored to Affirm's consumer loan portfolio to enable efficient deal execution
• Analyze accounting adjustments and methodology changes that impact Capital key performance indicators
• Evaluate General Ledger treatment of new funding facility structures
• Contribute to the design, roll-out, and capital/accounting impact of new financial solutions

What we look for

• 4+ years of experience in Accounting experience, preferably Big 4 Public Accounting firm experience
• BA/BS degree in a quantitative discipline (Accounting, Finance, Economics)
• Advanced proficiency in financial modeling and Excel
• Understanding of lending P&L and various capital structures including securitizations
• Ability to think creatively and critically and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, and often ambiguous work environment
• Strong understanding of payments, liquidity management, cash and risk management solutions
• CPA certification and Banking/Valuations experience a plus
• Derivatives and hedging experience a plus
• Knowledge of SQL is a plus
