Treasury Management Technical Associate

Purpose: The Treasury Management Technical Associate position is a variant of the existing Regional Cash Management Sales Associate role, with a concentration on the technical aspects of selling, supporting, and training on Five Star's Treasury Management product offering. The role is primarily responsible for assisting the Director of Treasury Services, Sr. Cash Management Sales Managers, and Regional Cash Management Sales Associates, but also supports other Five Star Bank (FSB) departments as necessary.
The Technical role encompasses:
- Subject matter expertise on customer facing file types: ACH, BAI, Positive Pay, SWIFT, etc.
- Internal resource for TM Sales, taking ownership of the technical aspects of the sales process
- Internal resource on customer facing platforms like our Digital Banking platform, Check and ACH Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Lockbox System, etc.
- Internal LEVEL 2 support for associates on customer facing technical issues with the above systems
- Internal resource with access to our vendors to build expertise within the organization, and solve issues
- Customer facing resource, leveraging their knowledge of the above systems to support clients
- Customer facing technical training on platforms like our Digital Banking platform, Check and ACH Positive Pay, Remote Deposit Capture, Lockbox System, etc.
- Technical implementation, integration, and management including MFT (Managed File Transfer / SFTP) Mailbox setup and deployment
- Technical file format / IT expertise supporting projects on existing and future product/ service development, working with product mgmt., operations, service, implementation, integration, and IT
The role also backs-up the current TM Sales Associate role which includes:
Sales Associate Duties: working with Cash Management Sales Managers on pre-sale coordination, client and internal stakeholder communications, post-sale coordination, management reporting, implementation, servicing, and research supporting sales efforts.
Sales Manager Duties: virtually selling Cash Management products and services to Branches and Business Banking customers and/or coordinating with Director of Treasury and Cash Management Sales for on-site sales calling efforts where appropriate.
Product Consulting Duties: actively participating in vendor and service review process and acting as a Cash Mgmt. subject matter expert to Product and Project Management.

Essential Functions:
- Technical Sales:
Working with Cash Management Sales Managers and Associates on the technical aspects of sales including pre-sale coordination, research, post-sale coordination, setup and training to fulfil customer implementation requests. LEVEL 2 support and expertise to both clients and FSB associates on technical issues with TM Products. Developing expertise on customer facing TM platforms, that can be leveraged by both FSB associates and customers. Technical consulting to both clients and internal FSB departments. Training customers and associates on the customer facing TM systems. Transferring knowledge within the organization to deepen general TM knowledge. - Sales Associate:
Working with other Cash Management Sales Managers on pre-sale coordination, providing client facing materials, sales support to RMs, Branches, Operations, & Call Center for issues, post-sale coordination with customers for agreements, setup requests & implementation, closing and recording sales, ongoing coordination with Customer Service, Electronic Banking Department & the Wire Room on research and answers to questions. As necessary, back-up for Cash Mgmt. sales related duties including sales calling, client communication, guiding clients in navigating the bank, closing, and recording sales, implementation, and on-going sales support. - Technical Product Consulting and Training:
As the bank moves to improve its existing TM products and services, as well as implementing new ones, candidate will participate in the vendor and service review process, acting as a TM subject matter expert, consulting with Project Management and IT to deliver best-in-class community banking products. This includes participation on calls and meetings with these departments. - On-boarding Coordination:
Coordination and ownership of the TM Onboarding service(s) from the technical perspective. Coordination with new account opening departments doing the actual account opening. Can include exchange, monitoring, follow-up, and routing of documentation between clients and internal Five Star departments. Consultation and cross-sell with clients during the process to uncover other opportunities for Five Star products and services. - Demonstrate the standards and principles of the Five Star Bank experience in every interaction with internal and external customers, associates, and stakeholders. Incorporate the high-performance behaviors of teamwork, leading by example, and service in every facet of work.

Job Related Qualifications - Education and Prior Experience:
Required:
- Education: Bachelor's Degree
- Prior Experience: 5+ Years Type: TM Associate, Sales, Product Management, or equivalent
- Licenses or Accreditation: None.
Preferred:
- Education: Master's degree - Business, Finance, Administration
- Prior Experience: 10+ Years Type: TM Associate, Sales, Product Management, or equivalent
- Licenses or Accreditation: Certified Treasury Professional (CTP), Certified Cash Manager (CCM), or SWIFT Certified.
Competencies:
- Possesses strong writing and keying skills with a high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet established deadlines.
- Dependable and reliable regarding meeting availability requirements established for the position.
- Responds to requests for information in a timely and professional manner.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft applications and ability to learn new and existing bank systems software.
- Ability to communicate and guide all levels of employees and customers with diverse skill sets.
- Strong sales orientation and customer focus.
