Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Accounts Receivable

• Cash application for customer payments
• Monitor customer accounts for non-payment, delayed payment, and NSFs
• Prepare weekly aging reports
• Responsible for audit requests related to receivables

Cash Management

• Responsible for weekly cash journal entries for all companies
• Back up initiator for wire transfers and account transfers
• Reconcile and replenishment of petty cash monthly

Insurance

• Review and analyze policy documents for errors and omissions
• Respond to insurance audit requests
• Assist with annual renewal process
• Oversee claims process from inception to closure
• Oversee the Purveyor insurance company policy and review for compliance
• Manage requests for Certificates of Insurance

Cafes and Retail Programs

• Calculate commission, bill purveyors, and manage collections for airport cafes
• Calculate commission, bill purveyors, and manage collections for peapod program
• Calculate margin and commissions for the Fresh Direct program

Licensing and Regulation

• Tracking, preparing, and submitting licenses for all companies
• Processing state qualifications
• Process all name registrations
• Prepare sales and use tax exemption certificates
• Calculate and submit worker's compensation reporting

Registration, Renewals, transfers, and sales of company vehicles

New Vendors and Vendor Maintenance Provide backup relief for Treasury Associate Special projects upon request

Education and/or Experience

• BS in Finance, Management, Business Administration or other related discipline desired. May be substituted with years of experience.
• Minimum 5-7 years accounting/finance experience.
• Must be a self-starting individual, work well independently and with a team.
• Demonstrate high degree of PC literacy, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel, ability to learn specialized database software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality with sensitive information.
• Must be able to meet deadlines
• Must possess proven organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Requires tact and poise under pressure.
• Works with general supervision.

Work Environment

• This position requires working in an office environment, 90% of the time. The remaining 10% of the time may require travel to other facilities.
