Job Summary:

Under some direction, the Associate III processes company financial data transactions from multiple business areas within Allstate to ensure compliant and accurate processing. The Associate III Investigates and understands compliance requirements for applicable processes. In addition, the position provides accounting support and expertise to internal and external customers and business partners for manual and automated financial transactions and policy updates.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.

  • Place Stop Payments on checks as requested.
  • Pull check copies as requested.
  • Void checks as requested.
  • Work with escheatment team to reissue checks.
  • Pull and email daily bank reports.
  • Reconcile stopped/voided checks from the previous day.
  • Research miscellaneous payments as needed.
  • Work with the Fraud Affidavits team as needed.
  • Assist with Positive Pay as needed.
  • Assist treasury manager as requested.

Additional Key Responsibilities:

  • Balances complex general ledger accounts including analyzing and investigating variances with little supervision.
  • Researches, investigates, and processes financial transactions according to system and customer requirements.
  • Establishes and maintains master data related to financial processing.
  • Interacts extensively in written and verbal form with internal and external business partners.
  • Demonstrates understanding of business platforms, processes and SOX environment (SME).
  • Understands and achieves quality and timeliness expectations within specific areas of responsibility and is aware of relationship to other work processes.
  • Demonstrates Subject Matter Expertise within key areas of responsibility.
  • Processes business related functions in accordance with compliance, legal, and business requirement guidelines.
  • Works effectively with vendor partners both onshore and offshore.

Preferred Qualifications:

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 or more years of related experience

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • None

Functional Skills

  • Fundamental proficiency in Microsoft Office- Outlook, Excel, and Word required
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills
  • SAP Knowledge and experience preferred
  • Fundamental problem-solving and project management skills

The base range offered for the role is: $37,890.00 - $52,100.00 and may vary based on internal equity, and job-related skills, knowledge and experience; among other factors.
