U.S. Foreign Policy Editor

Reuters is looking for an excellent journalist to be our U.S. Foreign Policy Editor in Washington.

The editor will lead a strong team of correspondents in Washington and help Reuters stand out on some of the world's biggest stories, including the U.S.-China rivalry, the deteriorating relationship with Russia, the war in Ukraine, and long-running crises from North Korea, Iran and Afghanistan to the broader conflicts in the Middle East.

As our U.S. Foreign Policy Editor, you will:

• Run the team on breaking news stories
• Help put us ahead with exclusives on major developments
• Deliver strong enterprise work across the foreign policy file.
• Work closely with bureaus and editors around the world to make the most of Reuters' global reach.

About You

To be our U.S. Foreign Policy Editor, you likely will have:

• A sophisticated understanding of international affairs,
• A track record of producing great journalism
• The organizational and people skills needed to juggle multiple stories on any given day while also focusing our efforts on the ones that matter most.
• International experience as a reporter and/or editor would be very useful.
