What You'll Do:
Independently manage up to $1m per month in UA spends across a variety of channels in support of our New Games UA portfolio to agreed ROAS targets.
Daily campaign management tasks including budget pacing, bid management and creative optimization to ensure we hit weekly and monthly budget targets.
Ownership of specific advertising platforms (including but not limited to Ad Networks, DSPs, Paid Social and Content Partners) for a defined portfolio of games. You will manage this portfolio of channels to maximize ROI for the UA Game Portfolio and consistently manage an optimization roadmap for your channels.
Grow your channel and game portfolio over time to $1m per month in managed spend. Â
Support the Head of UA/Games Marketing in the execution of the New Games Processes and Roadmap including Competitor Analysis, Channel Plans and Creative Briefing.Â
Update New Game Launch process documentation to reflect the latest developments and best practices for the team.
Partner with internal stakeholders across Developer Success, Brand and Partnerships functions to ensure that our Developer apps are best placed for UA success.
Influence resource allocation (budget, tool development, creative development) decisions for UA or game team to meet business objectives.
Be a leader within your area; be the subject matter expert for all new game launches and advocate for improvement in all areas of marketing for that game. Be passionate about mobile games!
Manage and improve our reports and dashboards ensuring accuracy of data and a culture of data-led decision making.
Innovate; bring new channel and advertising ideas to the business.
Partner with Analytics and Data Science teams to ensure the latest attribution and LTV modeling practices are applied to our games.
Locate, negotiate and develop creative and innovative solutions for acquisition
Grow and manage marketing partnerships for UA efforts across the globe
Design and execute A/B & multivariate testing and present results to related teams
Contribute winning ad creative ideas and run creative testing, working closely with Marketing to execute on breakthrough creative strategies to attract new users
Work cross-functionally with product, data, and creative teams to grow the portfolio and business through full-view lifecycle marketing
Responsible for people leadership/management to inspire efforts to prepare for identified challenges.Â
Influence broader business decisions to help achieve game and UA team goals
Basic Qualifications:
BA or BS degree, preferably in Economics, Mathematics, Marketing, Communications, Finance, Business Administration or a related field
3+ years of experience in media buying / user acquisition / performance marketing.
Creative problem solving acumen, as well as analytical rigor to verify or invalidate assumptions
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Proven ability to effectively communicate with cross functional teams
Strong understanding of funnel conversion metrics, retention rates and LTV predictions preferred
Expert of UA discipline and has a pulse on the evolving UA landscape
Actively looking for and practicing new strategies to stay ahead of the competition
Deep understanding of our data architecture and tech stack, and be able to communicate effectively with data teams
Looks for competitor benchmarks and emerging trends
Ability to self-reflect, take feedback and create a personal improvement plan
Perferred Qualifications:
Strong proficiency with Excel required, SQL is a plus
Hands-on experience with Facebook Ads and/or Google Ads is a plus
Games passion or experience

Skillz offers competitive compensation packages with a salary, bonuses, and restricted stock grants. Generous company-paid benefits, time-off, leave, 401k match, etc. Check out our career page for more information. Base Pay Range: $112k-$125k. Actual base pay will depend on varying circumstances, including leveling, experience, and location.
