Job Description

As the UAT Lead at Zayo, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for transformative projects. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, our UAT Lead will validate that software solutions align with business objectives and deliver exceptional value to our customers. Your expertise in UAT methodologies, attention to detail, and strong leadership skills will drive the successful deployment of projects, contributing to Zayo's continuous growth and success.
*We're open to our UAT Lead working in a remote capacity within the United States; however, our ideal candidate will reside in the Denver Metro, CO area with the ability to work in a hybrid capacity.
Responsibilities
- UAT Strategy and Planning:
- Collaborate with the Transformation Office, project managers, and business stakeholders to develop a comprehensive UAT strategy aligned with transformation objectives.
- Define and document detailed UAT plans, including scope, test cases, testing cycles, and success criteria.
- Work closely with initiative teams to establish realistic UAT timelines that align with overall initiative schedules.
- Define clear UAT reporting standards, success criteria and KPIs.
- UAT Execution and Coordination:
- Lead and manage the UAT team, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations.
- Oversee and actively participate in UAT testing activities, validating software functionalities, data integrity, and system interactions.
- Facilitate communication between UAT testers, initiative teams, and stakeholders to ensure a smooth and efficient UAT process.
- Defect Management and Reporting:
- Establish a robust defect management process, capturing and tracking UAT defects through resolution.
- Provide timely and accurate defect reports to initiative stakeholders, including root cause analysis and potential solutions.
- UAT Process Improvement:
- Continuously assess UAT processes and methodologies to drive efficiency and effectiveness.
- Introduce automation and innovative testing approaches to optimize UAT efforts.
- Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks to UAT success and collaborate with initiative teams to develop mitigation strategies.
- Communicate UAT risks and issues to the Business Transformation Office and initiative stakeholders, proposing proactive solutions.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 (seven) years of experience as a UAT Lead or similar role, with a proven track record of successful UAT execution.
- Strong understanding of UAT methodologies, software testing practices, and quality assurance principles.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a cross-functional UAT team.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Analytical mindset with an eye for detail, ensuring comprehensive test coverage and accurate defect reporting.
- Familiarity with UAT management tools and technologies, such as Asana, JIRA, or similar platforms.
Base pay range: $93,000 - $136,900, commensurate with experience
