UAT Senior Specialist – Santa Ana, Costa Rica

For this role, you will need in-depth knowledge of web and mobile technologies, including best practices and emerging trends.

You will also need a strong track record in testing field, with experience of planning and executing functional testing on new products. You should have excellent technical and analytical skills. A proven team player, you will also be confident to present your work and ideas, taking in constructive feedback effectively. Preferably, you will have experience of working in a lean and agile team, managing stories and test cases (ideally via JIRA) in a testing or developing role.

Role Responsibilities:

• In this role, you will gain extensive exposure to Western Union's evolving range of products and services as you test websites and mobile applications to assess how customers might interact with them and ensure their high quality.
• You will analyze business requirements, create and execute test cases,, working alongside other teams to resolve issues and identify opportunities to improve our customers' experience. You'll report bugs and check the implementation of fixes in an agile environment, with both internal and external teams.
• As a senior tester you will also support and share your extensive knowledge with junior team members and will contribute to creation and improvements of test strategies with your supervisor.

Role Requirements:  

• Bachelor’s degree in technology/engineering/computer science or related field.
• 4+ years of experience in manual or automation testing activities.
• Strong organizational and planning skills.
• Experience leading projects in QA/UAT phase end-to-end (planning, execution and certification).
• Experience with Jira cloud and confluence cloud.
• Strong knowledge of Western Union Retail products and systems.
• Knowledge of SQL, databases, writing, executing queries and understanding data.
• Good knowledge of Western Union Retail products and systems.
• Knowledge of automation tools (Git, Jenkins, IntelliJ) used for automation testing.
• Adaptability and/or flexibility.
• A history of working in a fast-paced environment.
• Problem solving skills.
• Communication skills.
