UI Artist & Designer

As a User Interface Artist and Designer, you will craft a design system across Slingshot’s product lines. You will use your creative, intuitive, and User Interface knowledge to help solve complex space awareness problems. You will delight our customers with a world class experience by using cutting edge interactions and modalities. 

• Executes all position responsibilities in alignment with Slingshot’s core values, mission, and purpose
• Collaborate with leadership, astrodynamics experts, data scientists, our product team, and engineers to understand product goals
• Conduct user research and usability testing to understand user feedback and use-cases
• Create end-to-end User Experience for new features and functionality by creating wireframes and high fidelity designs in Figma or related design tools
• Understand and demonstrate the use of information architecture, typography, copy, and visual hierarchy to efficiently solve complex spatial awareness design challenges
• Adhere to lean product methods in providing value to minimum viable product features
• Provide rapid prototypes from low to high in fidelity
• Identify design and usability problems and devise elegant solutions
• Conduct competitive research and customer analysis
• Provide high-quality aesthetics; adhere to style standards on fonts, colors, and images
• Perform other duties as assigned (to be less than 10% of the responsibilities listed above)

• Must be a U.S. citizen eligible for government clearances

• 5+ years of design and User Interface experience
• Bachelor’s degree in technology design (or equivalent experience)
• Excellent visual and interaction skills using animation and video 
• An understanding of 3D and spatial design
• Experience designing for multiple device platforms and accessibility 
• Experience with creating/leveraging design systems and facilitating design process from ideations to handoff with engineers

• Experience in aerospace, defense, or high tech enterprise
