UI Designer

Chartis is looking for a UI Designer. As a UI Designer at Chartis, you will be responsible for

crafting visually compelling, user-friendly interfaces for our Clients’ digital products and services. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and UX designers, to ensure our interfaces align with user needs and business objectives. 

We are looking for someone who thrives in a creative environment, has a strong eye for visual design, and can translate concepts into high-quality deliverables such as design systems, interface layouts, and pixel-perfect prototypes. You are detail-oriented, skilled in creating cohesive and scalable designs, and experienced in presenting your work to stakeholders. 

This is a contract position, working full-time hours.
Key Responsibilities: 

Visual Design: 

• Create high-fidelity designs that reflect project goals, branding, and user needs.
• Develop and maintain design systems, style guides, and component libraries to ensure consistency across products. 
• Design intuitive layouts and interfaces that prioritize user engagement and ease of use. 

Prototyping: 

• Build interactive prototypes to demonstrate functionality and user interactions. 
• Iterate on designs based on feedback from stakeholders and usability testing. 

Collaboration: 

• Work closely with UX designers to align visual designs with user research insights and wireframes. 
• Collaborate with developers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and design fidelity. 
• Present designs to clients and internal teams, articulating design decisions and their rationale. 

Design Optimization: 

• Stay up-to-date with the latest UI trends, techniques, and technologies to bring innovative ideas to projects. 
• Use data and analytics to refine and optimize design solutions for better user engagement. 

Documentation: 

• Maintain clear and organized documentation for design assets, processes, and guidelines. 
• Ensure handoffs to development teams are seamless and efficient. 

Qualifications: 

• 3+ years of UI design experience with a strong portfolio showcasing visually stunning and functional designs. 
• Expertise in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar. 
• Deep understanding of User Interface Design principles, color theory, typography, and layout. 
• Experience in building and maintaining design systems. 
• Familiarity with responsive and adaptive design techniques. 
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
