UI Designer

What You Need:

• Associates Degree or commensurate work experience in UI Design, Interaction Design, Visual Communications, Mobile App Development, or similar.
• Experience with interface design and best practices (navigation elements, data & dynamic content, forms, responsive/adaptive design, patterns, etc.)
• Demonstrated proficiency in coding by hand and familiarity with programming conventions, syntax, etc.
• Ability to contribute in a team environment yet work autonomously
• Solid professional communications skills
• Detail oriented, strong organizational skills
• Flexible, good at multi-tasking and prioritization

Software Requirements & Recommendations

• Strong skills and demonstrated experience with design programs such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.
• Experience creating interactive prototypes with tools such as Figma, Marvel, InVision, etc.
• Experience with app development with Xcode and/or Android Studio a plus
• Basic understanding of Git repositories; experience with GitKraken a plus

PDI is a technology solutions and marketing services provider of loyalty reward programs. We need a team member who can transform business objectives and product requirements into well-designed, user-focused, and intuitive UI experiences for mobile apps.

The UI Designer will collaborate with product managers and other stakeholders to design, code and implement attractive and intuitive interfaces. This role requires a mix of both creative and coding skillsets.

What You’ll Do

• Create compelling mobile experience from wireframes to live apps
• Design and develop front-end user interfaces and experiences
• Create and manage app designs & templates to match internal and client branding
• Research and stay current with UI/UX/IxD best practices
• Facilitate development of UI designs for user research, providing recommendations in written, verbal, and visual form
• Work collaboratively with digital strategists and development, product, and creative teams
• Demonstrate solid project management skills to assist project managers in work estimates, planning, level of effort, etc.
• Test concepts, perform task and user analysis, and assist with user acceptance testing
• Learn proprietary content development software
• Write and edit code in the JSON format
