Job Description:

The UI Designer is a key contributor to the user experience of all LCS software products. The incumbent works closely with business analysts and product managers to understand user requirements, design graphic elements, create wireframes and build prototypes. The UI Designer will work closely with software developers to implement functional and graphical improvements to enhance our customer experience. The incumbent will become an expert in all LCS products, including our flagship product - Rent Manager.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Serve as an advocate for the end user of the product, consistently working to improve the overall design and usability of the delivered product
  • Offer insight and expertise on UI/UX industry trends and best practices through rigorous research and evidence-based approaches across multiple platforms including web, mobile, and desktop
  • Contribute to multiple teams simultaneously through all software development life cycle activities including design and development
  • Evaluate UI/UX elements throughout LCS products and provide insights into functional and graphical improvements
  • Produce user workflows, wireframes, low-fidelity and high-fidelity prototypes, user interface specifications, and final graphics

Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in graphic design/visual design or equivalent work experience
  • 2-3 years of proven UI experience with web and mobile designs
  • Strong portfolio that demonstrates UI design skills: interaction design, storytelling, branding, visual design, illustrations, mobile app design, logo design, icon design, typography, animations, color theory, wireframing, prototyping, accessibility
  • Solid understanding of the latest UI/UX best practices
  • Proficient in Adobe XD, Figma, Illustrator or other visual design and wire-framing tools
  • Ability to explain design decisions, receive constructive critique, and iterate rapidly
  • Strong collaboration, communication, and presentation skills
  • Ability to work within boundaries to ensure consistency throughout the product's interface
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
