UI Developer

This position will be responsible for developing new and maintaining existing web and mobile applications in the exciting home automation and security industry. The developer will work with internal teams and departments to create and modify existing web and mobile applications that create efficiencies, improve workflow, and automate tasks. The position will also work with outside contractors/vendors on new and existing development projects

Responsibilities

Develop new business applications and update and maintain current applications

Develop mobile-friendly websites or apps for company salespeople and technicians

Develop cross-platform mobile apps

Work with third-party vendors and contractors on integrating with web services including SOAP and REST-based APIs

Conduct testing by developing test data and following test plans to ensure programs meet standards and specifications

Research errors to determine root cause and take appropriate steps to correct errors

Document changes in source code

Other duties as assigned

Competencies

Web UI programming (JS/TS Frameworks, Node, Flutter, .NET Core)

Understanding of UI data providers (MS SQL, REST/SOAP API)

Understanding of web data payloads (XML, JSON)

Understanding of token-based authentication (OAuth2, SSO, JWT)

Understanding of Git repos

Strong oral and written communication skills

Strong interpersonal skills

Strong organizational and time management skills

Strong problem solving and customer service skills

Ability to take direction well and complete tasks with a sense of urgency

Ability to prioritize and multitask workloads

Qualification & Experience

Bachelor's in Computer Science or related field or comparable on-the-job experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience developing and supporting applications

Experience developing on multiple platforms (Windows, Linux, MacOS)

Experience developing with multiple IDE (VS Code, Visual Studio, XCode, Android Studio)

Experience developing with .NET Framework, .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET MVC, JSON, Bootstrap, JQuery, Microsoft Visual Studio, ASP, HTML/DHTML, JavaScript, XML

Cross-platform mobile application development experience is a plus (Flutter, react-native, Xamarin)

SurveyMonkey and/or Salesforce Integration experience is a plus
