UI Principal Engineer

Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced UI Architect to design and develop user interfaces for our next generation AI-driven Diagnostics Co-pilot applications. A successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly iterative, and collaborative working environment. This key role will be responsible for creating innovative and responsive UI designs and leading the front-end development for our next generation of Diagnostic web applications.
Required Skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer science or related field
• 8+ years of experience in UI/UX design, development, and close collaboration with UX Designers and Researchers

• Expertise in industry-standard web application UI frameworks such as React, Vue, Angular, Typescript, or similar.
• Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, bonus for experience with data visualization JavaScript libraries such as D3
• Experience with implementation of percentage based responsive design and WCAG AA accessible applications.
• Understanding of headless/composable architecture
• Experience working with UI Design Systems and governance processes and build for scale and high performance.
• Experience with cross-browser compatibility issues and solutions
• Experience to consume and render data via API services and unit-testing and debugging of applications.
• Familiarity with UI design tools such as Sketch, Figma, or Adobe XD .
• Site metrics implementation?
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies .
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team and participate in and/or lead architecture and code reviews.

• Familiarity with analytics tagging implementation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and craft, especially pertaining to the development of UI micro-interactions and end-user workflows.
• Define the UI architectural vision across platform and ensure consistency of design abstractions across product suites.
• Promote strong collaboration within a cross functional team, including design, product management.

Desired Skills:

• Experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest, Mocha, or Jasmine
• Knowledge of server-side programming languages such as Node.js, Python, .NET, Java
• Familiarity with cloud-based technologies such as Azure, or AWS
• Experience with mobile application development.
• Strong understanding of user experience design principles
• Prior experience within Healthcare IT, Radiology and/or Diagnostic Imaging products a plus.
• Prior experience developing AI-driven user experiences a plus.

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop responsive and user-friendly UI/UX for software applications using industry-standard frameworks and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, UX researchers, UX designers, and developers to identify requirements and deliverables.

• Lead the development of front-end technologies and ensure code quality and consistency across all applications.
• Work with back-end developers to integrate front-end technologies with server-side APIs.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum development processes and ensure timely delivery of projects.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in front-end development and user experience design.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior developers in UI/UX design and front-end development.
• Utilize and contribute to a centralized, inner source UI Design System repository, and participate in its ongoing Governance processes and maintenance.
