UI Software Engineer

Job Description

Summary:

Daikin is looking for a UI software engineer to implement user interface on chiller controls. The SW engineer will be responsible for implementing the technical design for UI control systems using industry best practices. The software engineer will be working closely with a UX designer to implement the UI for the best customer experience.

Requirements:

• BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• Proficiency in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, git
• More than 3 years of experience developing user interfaces
• Strong organizational, interpersonal and communications skills.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as technical literature and safety standards, operating and maintenance instructions, and engineering drawings.
• Ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional employees in the organization.
• Good problem-solving skills.

Duties:

• Implement next generation user interfaces for Daikin's solutions products by working with UX designers and developers.
• Maintain legacy UI applications by debugging issues and enhancing features.
• Debugging code errors and troubleshooting software bugs.

Preferred skills:

• Experience with C/C++
• Familiarity with UI prototyping tools like Figma
