UI / UX Developer - Options Market Making

Overview

We are seeking a talented and motivated (UI/UX developer) with strong UI development skills and a keen interest in UX and UI design.

You are passionate about designing engaging and intuitive user experiences while also having the technical skills and experience to bring those designs to life.

You will work closely with our existing UI developers and UX designers to deliver the next generation of Maven's trading applications along with its underlying web platform, component library and design system.

The role will involve

• UI development
• Delivery of new applications and bringing new functionality to existing apps
• Contributing to our core UI framework, including creation of modular components in React and TypeScript
• Participating in discussions on direction and code review
• Collaboration with backend developers to ensure seamless integration
• Supporting our suite of trading applications by troubleshooting, debugging and fixing UI related issues
• UX design
• Design and development of assets such as sketches, wireframes and interactive prototypes
• Maintaining and updating our design system documentation and guidelines
• collaborating with product owners and end users (traders) to translate their ever-evolving needs into effective and efficient solutions

Must have skills and experience

• Excellent UI development skills in JavaScript/TypeScript, including component and library development
• Proven experience and a keen interest in UX and UI design principles
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Pragmatic self-starter with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

 Desirable / nice to have

• Experience with React, component libraries and design systems
• Experience working on complex and data rich user interfaces running across multiple desktops
• Experience creating UX assets such as user workflows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes using tools such as Axure, Figma, Sketch Adobe XD or similar
• A portfolio to showcase your UI/UX design work or approach
• Experience working in the financial sector
