Job Description

Helpjuice.com is a SaaS application that empowers thousands of large and small companies (such as Amazon.com, Hertz, Virgin Mobile, Shipt.com, Philips, US Government, etc.) to deliver instant support using our software. Our platform is super powerful & simple.

We've been around for 11 years, 100% bootstrapped (meaning all our decisions are geared towards making customers happy & we optimize everything around that)

We're a smaller, yet growing software company, where everyone wears multiple hats. It's a team of excellent people, who are all willing to help each other, because it's the way we work / our culture.

We care about our customers, and are a very transparent company in how we build software (e.g.: our product roadmap is public & customer-driven)

Β

A Bit About The Role:
  1. You will be in charge of all-things design-related.
  2. You will produce Sketch/Adobe XD/Figma Product & Marketing page wireframes & final UI mocks for our development team to implement and working with them
  3. Alongside our CEO and our product team (2 backend developers & 1 frontend & 1 senior designer)
  4. You will be in charge of making key product & marketing decisions
  5. You will conduct customer & product usage data points to help with decision making

Β

How do we work?
  • We don’t do daily meetings, nor scrum/agile or any 4-letter 'modern' project management approach. Design should be fun, not a dreadful todo-list given to you by someone who has no idea about design, or what the customer wants. This is why we have a totally different approach to work which we don't publicly outline.
  • We make a lot of quantitive decisions around design. Meaning, we'll place bets (formulated assumptions) around which features to build/improve, etc., and then execute and validate our bets. This means, we're able to get a lot more done, with a lot less time & people.
  • We work in small teams, and make decisions quickly without dwelling and over-analyzing – great decisions usually are no brainers.
  • We believe in very high standards, and everyone holds up to it, and as a result, we are able to accomplish a lot with less (time/people/energy/meetings).

Requirements

Requirements are as follows:

  • Very good English skills.
  • You should be very good in understanding UX and UI. Too much of today's designers don't understand basic UX principles, but are very talented with UI. We expect you to not only craft beauty, but make it functional aswell!
  • Figma / Sketch / Adobe XD.
  • Bonus if you understand HTML/CSS and are into tech as a lot of great design ideas stem from a good technology understanding.
  • A sense of humor, and relaxed lifestyle :-)

Ideal candidate would also understand:

  • Product Design - and have a bit of experience it in aswell. It's hard to master

Benefits

We're working on a very challenging product, with thousands of competitors, and yet we're amongst the top solutions that people choose to work with. Every day, we're challenged by our very well-funded competitors to push our product to the next level and deliver a better experience for our customers.

Β

We're a small team doing very cool things, with thousands of customers that absolutely love us, and as a result are able to also provide benefits such as:

  • Flexible working hours. We believe work shouldn't dictate your life, so we let you work when you're cool with it, but we do expect you to be online somewhere around the timeline of 8am EST - 7pm EST.
  • Remote. Work in your underwear, or from a coffee shop, or from the south of Spain. We're cool with whatever, as long as you're having fun & working.
  • Paid-for company vacations. This ain't your average company. We like to make sure everyone's having an amazing time, while creating the next generation of customer support software. As a result, every 6 months, we offer a all-paid-for company retreat to some pretty nice locations (past ones included Bali, Morocco, Portugal).
  • Challenging & Rewarding. We're in a very competitive market, and we're able to win a lot of our competitors customers, simply by having a better product & customer experience. This tradition is really able to exist because we have a very strong team.
