UI/UX Designer

We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to help us improve, simplify, and extend a suite of real-time trading tools on our options desk.  

This role will task you to help us redesign trader workflows and UIs to make time-sensitive actions faster and more intuitive. Our team is eager to improve discoverability and consistency of all actions across our tool suite. We’d also like your help improving our UI/UX best practices, such as utilizing Figma mockups for efficient exploration and iteration, performing user research, and following up on features after they’re delivered to ensure they’re having the intended effect.

The right designer will be comfortable collaborating on business requirements, perceiving and conducting research on user behavior, and then able to translate their findings into tactical concepts and actions. 

You’ll work within a team of developers (both frontend and backend) and options traders who work together to drive our products forward. A portfolio of work is required to apply for this role.

• 3+ years of experience in UX design
• Advanced knowledge of CSS to enable deep collaboration with front-end engineers
• Intellectually curious and eager to learn; willing to get their hands dirty
• Comfortable working on problems that rarely have clean, definitive answers but also happy to make immediate, incremental improvements where there is obvious value 
• Interested in helping our end users and driven by a passion to make their lives easier and workflows more efficient
• Can push ideas in new and unknown directions while maintaining clarity of purpose
• Able to leverage a variety of different styles and methodologies to reach the best solution
• Enjoys collaborating with a wide range of colleagues with different skill sets and levels of experience
• Passionate and driven to improve and expand our existing toolkit, with a plan to get us there
• Fluency in English required
