UI/UX Designer

You will make an impact:
As the UI/UX Designer, you will be responsible for the user experience (UX) and user interface (UI) design of software products that make the process of managing clinical trials and understanding the data simple and fast, and to assist in bringing new life-improving to life-saving therapies to the market faster. You will focus on both the visual aspects of the software and on the conceptual aspects of the user-experience. You will bring life to the product by ensuring that it is aesthetically appealing, user-friendly, and easily accessible. You will balance both UI and UX by understanding the usability for end-users, the business context, and the expectations of various stakeholders. You will be responsible for creating user interfaces that exceed user requirements, offer an intuitive user-friendly experience, and ensure that the users' navigation path through the product is clearly visible. You will have a passion for delivering adaptive and creative solutions that make it simple for end users to understand complex tasks.

Your day to day:
- Drive the overall aesthetic appeal and experience of using the product
- Develop and conceptualize a comprehensive UI/UX design strategy for the platform
- Collaborate with other members of the team to come up with novel designs that drive adoption
- Create prototypes, wireframes, and mock-ups to demonstrate the functioning and layout of the product
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and representative users to explore concepts through iterations from low fidelity to high fidelity wireframes and prototypes
- Research digital product conventions to assure alignment such that users readily recognize and understand conventions to minimize any training
- Define user task flows and interaction models that make it clear to users what tasks they need to complete, how to accomplish those tasks, and what the next task to perform is
- Create, maintain, and adhere to a cohesive style guide to ensure consistent design language is followed across the product
- Optimize UI designs and tests for intuitiveness and user-centeredness
- Conduct usability testing to identify gaps in design and improvement opportunities
- Assess user pain points, objectives, and motivations
- Use various ideation methods such as brainstorming to identify solutions to user needs to add value to the company
- Provide advice and guidance on the implementation of UX research methodologies and testing activities in order to analyze and predict user behavior
- Incorporate user feedback, usage metrics, and usability findings into design in order to enhance user experience
- Participate in agile ceremonies to collaborate, ship, and improve products, working alongside engineers and product managers throughout all stages of the production cycle
- Articulate design decisions to a variety of audiences, including tech leads, clients, and project owners
- Enhance user experience by creating seamless navigation through various products within the platform

Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Software Design, Software Engineering or related field and a minimum of 5+ years UI/UX design experience for software products preferred
- A portfolio of professional UI/UX design work for both B2C and B2B platforms
- A flexible team player comfortable working within a group as well as independently
- Self-motivated task-driven individual who can work remotely with minimal supervision
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly articulate your ideas, designs, and suggestions
- Time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Experience as a UI/UX Designer as well as a strong portfolio of related projects
- Proficient in prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, InVision, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and have a keen eye for aesthetics
- Experience working directly with developers for implementation of designs
- Experience with coding and ability to troubleshoot using HTML, CSS, and comparable languages
- Continued education and research into UX trends and current design strategy and technologies
- Experience creating storyboards, wireframes, and prototypes
