Job Description:

The Digital UX Designer works with both business and development teams to enable the execution of the digital user experience in accordance with our delivery cadence. This role will assist in the optimization of the current digital consumer journey by delivering the agreed upon vision to our development teams while fostering a test and learn mentality.

Responsibilities:
  • Delivers Mock ups, wireframes, and icons that align to our Digital UX strategy and brand standards
  • Acts as a stakeholder to our development teams in regards to UX Design and Accessibility Standards
  • Works with our UX Strategy Manager and UX consultants to translate user research, best practices, system capabilities and business needs into a customer-first strategic direction for our digital products, and provide guidance throughout the design and development process
  • Collaborates with cross-functional team members including Marketing, Analytics and IT to push forward the creation and assessment of new UX/UI experiences
  • Understands the technical roadmap for our digital products and make recommendations on short and long-term enhancements to optimize the user experience
  • Works effectively with external digital agency when appropriate to translate conceptual designs into seamless experiences within our digital channels
  • Assists with user testing on prototypes/designs
  • Proactively brings UX/UI ideas to the team that tackle consumer challenges
  • Maintains our design tools and best practices that enable efficient development and collaboration
  • Supports a customer-first approach and champion the value to functional stakeholders to inspire confidence and drive approval
  • Continually monitors product analytics and provides insights to inform optimization


Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years working experience in UX/UI in a digital product and experience environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of UX design principles
  • Consumer-centric mindset
  • Highly flexible and willing and able to adjust to needs that arise in the marketplace or shifting internal priorities
  • Strong collaboration skills with high degree of comfort engaging multiple development teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to use qualitative and quantitative skills to evaluate consumer journeys combining analytics with creativity
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate to a broad, diverse audience "what is happening" with the digital journey and how we can improve it
  • Comfort working in a start-up style environment where the pace is fast the path is not always linear or clear
  • Passionate and curious
