UI/UX designer

We are looking for a passionate designer to help build & execute a user-friendly design for our products. You will be required to produce innovative solutions for our product designs making them practical yet straightforward to use. Being the first designer role in the team, you will have to wear twin hats of UI/UX and graphics designer.

Our users are often non-tech-savvy and hence usability is at the heart of what we build. We empathize with our users and that's our DNA! We believe that our success as a business is entirely dependent on how we delight our users with crafted products. This cultural aspect is very crucial for us.

What you will do?

• Use wireframes, storyboards, process flows and mindmaps to illustrate and present design ideas.

• Collaborate with Product Lead, CEO and Engineering team to understand the product before presenting solutions to the visual and interactive experience.

• Gather user requirements to create compelling and original graphic designs (images, sketches, etc).

• Build and design user interface elements like menus, tabs, widgets, page navigation buttons and search fields.

• Design the graphical assets for UI such as icons, illustrations etc.

• Help the marketing team in their efforts with the right branding guidelines, adhoc illustrations. Designing the graphic assets for certain marketing campaigns (10-15% of the time on weekly level).

• Present design concepts and ideas to colleagues, and clients.

• Ensure standard & consistency is maintained when it comes to style, fonts, colors, and images.

• Stay up to date with all of the industry’s trends and best practices.

What you could ideally bring?

• Prior experience of minimum 3 years in UX/UI design with a strong portfolio to show previous work.

• Prior experience of hands-on graphic design (illustrations / icons etc) of minimum 1+ years.

• Excellent knowledge of visual design and wireframing tools like XD, Figma, Sketch and prototyping tools like InVision.

• Clear mastery of Adobe Suite tools such as Photoshop and Illustrator.

• Strong experience with creating wireframes, storyboards, user flow, process flow, and sitemaps.

• Experience in doing User Research and User Testing, deriving insights, challenging assumptions, and avoiding bias to make sure that we create what's relevant for our customers

• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

• Great visual design, time management and multitasking skills.

• Good problem-solving ability with attention to detail.
