UI/UX Designer - Cumberland Labs

We are seeking a talented and innovative UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team. You will play a vital role in shaping the user experience and interface for our blockchain-based applications and decentralized platforms. Your designs will empower users to seamlessly interact with blockchain technology, digital assets, and decentralized systems.

What you’ll be doing:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and blockchain specialists, to understand project requirements and translate them into intuitive and visually appealing UI/UX designs.
• Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and design mockups to effectively communicate design concepts and user flows.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to iterate and improve upon existing designs.
• Develop a deep understanding of Web3 technologies, such as blockchain, smart contracts, and decentralized finance, and apply that knowledge to design compelling user experiences.
• Design user interfaces that prioritize simplicity, efficiency, and accessibility while maintaining consistency with Web3 design principles and best practices.
• Collaborate with front-end developers to ensure the accurate implementation of designs and provide guidance during the development process.
• Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and design methodologies related to Web3 and blockchain user experiences.
• Actively contribute to the design team's processes, tools, and design systems to enhance productivity and streamline workflows.

What we need:

• At least 5 years of experience as a UI/UX Designer, with a strong portfolio showcasing web or mobile applications designed for the blockchain or cryptocurrency industry.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe XD, or similar tools.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and incorporating user feedback into design iterations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively to find elegant design solutions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively present and articulate design concepts and rationale.
• Attention to detail and a passion for creating intuitive and delightful user experiences.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, adapt to changing priorities, and meet project deadlines.

Nice to Haves:

• Familiarity with Web3 technologies, including blockchain platforms, decentralized applications (dApps), and cryptocurrency wallets.
• Well versed in HTML, CSS and frameworks like Material UI
• Ability to quickly translate an idea to Proof of Concept
