Role Description
- An Engineer is responsible for designing, developing and delivering significant components of engineering solutions to accomplish business goals efficiently and reliably. Key responsibilities of this role include design of solution components, investigating re-use, ensuring that solutions are fit for purpose, reliable, maintainable, and can be integrated successfully into the overall solution and environment with clear, robust and well tested deployments.
- Engineers proactively look for opportunities to improve the availability and performance of components by applying the learning from monitoring and observation, automating towards zero touch, and championing a 'DevOps' mind-set.
- You will report to the team lead, and directly collaborate with business departments and both local and remote engineers, analysts and project managers from partnering teams. Together with the team you will work on a full life cycle of a product, from architecture design to implementation and level 3 production support.

Your key responsibilities
- Manage, debug, and troubleshoot Linux platforms for the application stabilities and root cause analysis.
- Collaborate with application teams to define target state infrastructure architecture of those - including hardware, networks, operating systems and other requirements
- Deliver required infrastructure for both production and testing environments
- Automate application build and deployment procedures, deployments on testing and production environments
- Collaborate with Production Support teams to define application support run-books, pre-production checks and other procedures
- Work with application teams to adopt Google Cloud and Hybrid Cloud platforms where applicable
- Manage relationships with involved business partners
- Manage escalations and group level communications
- Manage areas that need monitoring, reporting and improvement
Your skills and experience
- In-depth professional experience of DevOps and/or software engineering
- Great knowledge of Linux, very good understanding of networks, great shell-scripting skills
- Experience and knowledge in infrastructure architecture, capacity planning, failover and disaster recovery, etc
- Experience with Python, Java, Kotlin, Golang, Node.js is a plus. Experience with Corvils is a plus
- Fluent written and spoken English
