Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- Act as an investment professional and natural extension of the Portfolio Management Team with institutional/UHNW clients and prospects.
- Work with the Portfolio Management Team to fully understand market narrative, strategy decisions, strategic/tactical positioning as well as underlying security fulfillment rationale.
- Manage a portfolio of roughly 30 institutional/UHNW clients
- Implement changes to portfolios to ensure appropriate diversification, risk, return and positioning consistent with broader strategies.
- Work with clients to evaluate and develop institutional IPS or, often times, custom solutions for individuals.
- Responsible for all aspects of client relationship pertaining to investments including the delivery of client review meetings: market narrative, strategic/tactical portfolio positioning, performance attribution. Duties also include ongoing account compliance, maintenance and trading.
- Maintain full awareness of current events and impacts to client portfolios.
- Participate in prospect meetings and marketing events to explain broad investment approach including philosophy, process, and/or market narrative. Highly effective communicator with ability to clearly articulate firm view.
- Work collaboratively with appropriate areas of the firm to facilitate client needs.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Needed to Perform Essential Functions of the Job
- Bachelor degree required with preference for high level degree and/or CFA designation.
- 10 years of investment industry experience, preferably working with institutional/UHNW clients.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
