About the Job...

JOB SUMMARY: The Umbraco Developer involves the development, testing, and maintenance of top-notch Umbraco software solutions for websites. The emphasis will be on ensuring that the software aligns with the client’s and end-users’ needs and specifications and is delivered within the agreed-upon timeline and budget.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s in computer science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. Minimum 3 years of Umbraco Development experience.

SECURITY CLEARANCE: Not required.

JOB TYPE: Full Time

LOCATION: Candidate ideally located within commuting distance of Colorado Springs, CO.

SALARY RANGE: $100K to 135K, the estimate range represents the typical salary for the position commensurate with experience, knowledge and demonstrated success in the field and other factors.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Work with the Project Manager and clients to assess technology requirements per project.
• Design and develop front and back-end web capabilities in an agile fashion.
• Analyze solutions and provide estimates to solve defects, provide upgrades and do new development in Umbraco 12 or above.
• Set up new Umbraco Cloud accounts for clients.
• Set up Umbraco cloud accounts and development and test pipelines.
• Move clients from on-premises to Umbraco Cloud.
• Set up test environments for manual and automated testing.
• Design and use APIs in the applications.
• Test, debug and optimize applications for enhanced performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, test, and production environments.
• Develop and maintain custom and out of the box solutions in Umbraco. Includes patching and backing up database and keeping the solution healthy.
• Working closely with other team members to design, build, test, and deploy web, application-based solutions to meet customer needs.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

• Candidate should have strong Microsoft web development experience (C#, ASP.NET/.NET Core) and be well-versed in front-end languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular).
• Experience working with Content Management Systems (Umbraco, Kentico, Drupal, etc.) is a must, with a focus on Umbraco.
• Experience with Microsoft ASP.NET/.NET Core, C# coding, Umbraco Development at version 8 and above, Microsoft SQL Server, HTML5, JavaScript, and front-end development platforms.
• Experience creating ‘headless’ CMS applications.
• Experience with turning Drupal applications into Umbraco applications where possible.
• Experience developing and maintaining custom solutions that span multiple platforms.
• Experience with managed services like Umbraco Cloud, Pantheon or Acquia.
• Team management and leadership
