Unannounced Project Associate Economy Designer (New Grad / Early-in-Career)

Can you devise a way for each player to grow in power while preserving the delicate balance of an action game? If you answered yes to these questions, Bungie wants you on our team as our newest Associate Economy Designer.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

• A recent graduate from a U.S. college, university, or related program within 12 months from October 2022
• Planning to graduate in Fall 2022 through Spring 2023
  OR
• Moving from primarily learning to primarily working within 12 months
• Transitioning from one craft, function, or discipline to a new one within 12 months

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to help design and implement progression systems and rewards that excites and engages players
• Tune the game economy using Bungie’s internal tools and technology to create compelling moments and satisfying progressions
• Participate in team playtests and provide feedback

REQUIRED SKILLS

• Interest in reward and progression systems
• Ability to analyze gameplay experiences, identify problems, and generate solutions
• Familiarity with game development software and tools
• Oral and written communication skills

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

• Some experience writing text-based scripts to manage game systems (scripting in a Lua, Python, or similar language)
• Experience & understanding player motivation; knowing what drives people to engage with content
