Unannounced Project Economy Designer (Associate to Mid)

Do you dream about creating worlds imbued with real value and consequence? Can you imagine reward chases that excite and delight players without feeling like chores? Can you devise a way for each player to grow in power while preserving the delicate balance of an action game? If you answered yes to these questions, Bungie wants you on our team as our newest Economy Designer. 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to help design and implement progression systems and rewards that excites and engages players  
• Tune the game economy using Bungie’s internal tools and technology to create compelling moments and satisfying progressions
• Participate in team playtests and provide feedback 

REQUIRED SKILLS 

• Some experience designing and implementing reward and progression systems 
• Ability to analyze gameplay experiences, identify problems, and generate solutions 
• Familiarity with game development software and tools
• Oral and written communication skills 

For Mid-level candidates, in addition to the above Required Skills, we are targeting:

• Multiple years of experience designing and implementing reward and progression systems
• Experience working on a live game

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS 

• Some experience writing text-based scripts to manage game systems (scripting in a Lua, Python, or similar language) 
• Experience & understanding player motivation; knowing what drives people to engage with content

• Ability to build alignment
• Great feedback skills
