Unarmed Security Guards 3rd/Overnight Shift *Full Time*

Looking for an Unarmed Security Officer for a wide range of sites across the Valley Metro Area. Starting pay is $18.00 to $19.00 per hour. We are looking for a professional security guard to protect our premises, assets and personnel. You will maintain a high visibility presence and prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions. The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report. Responsibilities • Protect company’s property and staff by maintaining a safe and secure environment • Observe for signs of crime or disorder and investigate disturbances • Act lawfully in direct defense of life or property • Take accurate notes of unusual occurrences • Report in detail any suspicious incidents • Patrol randomly or regularly building and perimeter • Monitor and control access at building entrances and vehicle gates • An extremely high-level of customer service skills are needed. • Routine heavy lifting may be required. • Routine walking is required. • Climbing Staircases multiple times throughout shift may be required. • Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of residents, visitors, and other persons, in order to maintain security of the entirety of the building. • Knowledgeable about residential and/or commercial rules, and effectively answer inquiries specific to the property. • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards. • Effectively understand and utilize technology products such as a smartphone, computer, tablet, etc. • Ability to prepare reports in a clear and concise manner. • Spelling and grammar skills are essential. • Answer alarms and investigate disturbances. • The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. Skills • Proven work experience as a security guard or relevant position • Trained security officer with diploma • Ability to operate detecting systems and emergency equipment • Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols • Surveillance skills and detail orientation • Integrity and professionalism • High school degree Job Qualifications & Requirements: • Current Arizona Security Guard License • At least 1 year of experience as security guard preferred, but not required. • Must be at least age 18. • Must be able to pass an in-depth criminal background check. • Must be able to pass a drug screening. (This is a zero tolerance work environment). • Must have a reliable means of transportation. • Must have the legal right to work in the United States. • Must have the ability to effectively speak, read, and write English. • Ability to pass an English composition assessment upon request (This ensures the ability to utilize proper grammar & spelling for report writing). • Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
