Underwriting Assistant

Job Description:

Job Duties

• Receive and process requests to bind insurance coverage.

• Issue insurance policies and endorsements.

• Assist underwriters by collecting information and documentation from agents.

• Review applications for missing information and discrepancies. Obtain information/clarification from producing agent.

• Receive and process non-critical service requests such as cancellation notice, name changes and address changes.

• Look up FAA data including aircraft registrations, charter ceritication and pilot information.

Independence

• Individual performs the duties outlined above autonomously, within the guidelines of authority granted by Underwriting Management

Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• 1-2 years experience in aviation or insurance related field.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential.
• Strong organizational and planning skills required.
• Understanding of basic aviation or insurance terminology required.
