Underwriting Assistant (P&C Insurance)

This is a remote position based in the Northeast region.

We’re seeking an Underwriting Assistant who will support Underwriters with bind paperwork and post-bind account maintenance. This role regularly interacts and communicates with Brokers, which may include answering questions pertaining to policies, coverage, billing, etc.

Your Impact:

• Review driver MVRs to determine eligibility, and client inspection reports.

• Assure adherence to applicable insurance laws.

• Issuing of Package and Umbrella policies utilizing our automated systems in conformance with underwriting proposals and binding instructions.

Successful Candidates Will Have:

• Associate degree or higher required.

• At least 1 year of insurance industry experience, including interaction with retail agents.

• Knowledge of insurance policy construction and regulations. Familiarity with risk management of auto dealerships is a plus.

• Proficiency with MS Office, including Excel, is required.

• Experience with IMS or other agency management system is required.

At One80 Intermediaries, base pay is one part of our total compensation package, which also includes a comprehensive suite of benefits, including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings, paid time off and paid holidays for eligible employees. The total compensation for a position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. The expected base pay range for this position is between $16.75 - $28.85 per hour + bonus. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including geographical location, education, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
