Responsible for the ongoing configuration, management, and effective use of the Underwriting (UW) Quality Assurance (QA) software platform. This includes pulling accounts for sampling and identifying focus areas for review, configuring reports, questionnaires, scoring and other aspects of the platform; analyzing program data and generating a set of insights and calibrated metrics; collaborating with the platform vendor on platform upgrades and changes; and liaising between the Central QA Team, UW business units and other stakeholder groups, and CNA's Technology and Data teams.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Performs a combination of duties in accordance with departmental guidelines:

• Interface with the UW QA AVP and Central QA team, QA software platform vendor team, and CNA's Technology and Data Teams to ensure proper and smooth functioning of the QA software platform.
• Assist in pulling accounts for sampling according to sampling principles and assist in identifying focus areas for review.
• Analyze QA program data and calibration results, generate a set of insights and calibrated metrics to track quality issues, trends and performance over time.
• Manage UW QA data aggregation and collaborate with UW senior leadership, the UW QA AVP, Central QA team and other stakeholder groups including CNA's Data Team, to configure and maintain meaningful reports at the BU and portfolio level.
• Maintain and prioritize a backlog of system update requests and fixes, resolving and testing solutions in collaboration with the platform vendor, CNA Technology Team or other stakeholders as required.
• Maintain and support the relationship with the QA tool vendor. Evaluate vendor performance against service level agreements, ensuring any concerns are identified and promptly addressed.
• Compile and deliver demos of new system functionality and reporting to senior UW leaders and other stakeholders.
• Act as the technical liaison between CNA Technology and Data professionals and the UW QA program.
• Collaborate with the Central QA Team to assist in audit communication with UW leadership.
• Support special projects and presentations that advance UW audit initiatives.

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

• A solid understanding of the insurance industry, its products, practices and operations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and presentation skills, both verbal and written.
• Demonstrated ability to build relationships and effectively collaborate with all levels of key stakeholders, without any direct authority.
• Advanced analytical and problem solving skills, excellent attention to detail with ability to exercise independent judgment.
• Ability to deal with complex and ambiguous situations and issues.
• Creativity in resolving unique and challenging business problems.
• Ability to independently manage and prioritize requests from multiple stakeholders. Proven project management experience.
• Demonstrated learning agility, willingness to adapt to new ways of working and experiment with innovation.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and other business related and/or project management software systems.

Education & Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically a minimum of seven years of experience working in a data & analytics capacity for an audit function of an insurer and/or for insurance clients (either public accounting firm risk advisory / corporate internal audit group). As many years or close to as many years of experience in the insurance industry for industry knowledge.
• Preferred experience: A minimum of seven years of experience in risk advisory / consulting capacity for P&C insurance industry clients with strong data & analytics skills (excel + any other tools like tableau, power bi, looker, etc.).
• Experience acting as a product owner or product manager for a software product.
• Familiarity with the Teamthink platform preferred, with ability to learn about new modules and functionality as they are released.
