Underwriting Compliance Intern

MEMIC’s Summer Internship Program identifies college students who want real-world experience that will allow them to gain valuable knowledge and skills within their field of study. This is a paid internship that can also be credited towards the student’s degree. The program will last 11 weeks, beginning on June 5th and ending on August 18th. This opportunity will be full-time (37.5 hours per week).

The intern will assist the Underwriting Compliance team with reviewing and organizing the approved state filings into the different Underwriting applications.

Responsibilities

• Assists with the review and organization of updated filings in the current Compliance tools; ImageRight, Vinyl, and Knowledge Base.
• Researches our competitor’s Loss Cost Multiplier’s in the state of Maine and provides findings to the MEMIC Underwriting team.
• Researches competitor filings in other states per the requests of Underwriting.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Must be pursuing an Associate’s Degree or above.
• Must have a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Must have a strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
• Must have excellent information gathering skills.
