Underwriting Optimization Lead

About the role

We are looking for a highly seasoned and technical underwriting professional to support and optimize Coalition’s rapidly growing global underwriting efforts in Cyber and Executive Risk. This role requires extensive experience in underwriting best practices a deep understanding of industry standards and strong analytical and collaborative skills to drive underwriting consistency profitability and efficiency.

This position is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and enforcement of global underwriting standards best practices and underwriting authority levels.

• Optimize performance by monitoring and enforcing audit criteria to ensure underwriting quality and consistency.

• Collaborate with internal teams to maintain profitability across all segments ensuring underwriting practices align with performance standards.

• Foster active engagement with Underwriting Leaders by working together on referrals escalations and continuously improving processes to ensure alignment and superior outcomes.

• Work with Product and cross-functional teams to identify and implement automation opportunities that streamline underwriting processes and improve efficiency.

Skills and Qualifications

• 8+ years of deep knowledge of Cyber Tech E&O MPL and ER underwriting including understanding of risk assessments policy structuring and market trends.

• Strong collaboration for working across teams building consensus and driving initiatives forward

• In-depth experience in identifying and implementing automation opportunities within underwriting processes with strong understanding of product tooling and underwriting workflows.

• Excellent communication with ability to convey complex ideas to diverse audiences including non-technical stakeholders.

Compensation

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The US base salary for this position ranges from $135000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $170000/year in our highest geographic market. Consistent with applicable laws an employee's pay within this range is based on a number of factors which include but are not limited to relevant education skills job-related knowledge qualifications work experience credentials and/or geographic location.
