Unified Commerce Strategy Manager

As Adyen continues to expand and deepen its product suite, we are looking for loyal, strategic team members to drive global strategy amongst Unified Commerce customers. Unified Commerce represents customers like Nike, McDonalds, and H&M who have a component of in-person payments in their business.  

This part of our business is growing 67% YoY and represents 26% of Adyen’s net revenues.  Our global function orchestrates the alignment between commercial, product, and operational teams to continue this hyper growth.

In this role, you will work in partnership with global product, partnerships, and go-to-market teams to see through our ambitions.  You will provide structure and a data-driven commercial lens to help define our product strategy for Unified Commerce.  And you will orchestrate go-to-market enablement of key products and capabilities, rolling up your sleeves to get the job done when needed.  

What you’ll do

  • Use the frameworks and skillset of a Strategy Consultant to structure answers to the mission critical questions impacting our future success in Unified Commerce. 
  • Work with the Solutions, GTM, and Ops teams to ground our new product strategies in business need, operational costs, and definition of success.
  • Orchestrate the launch of strategic products to ensure adoption within our customer base and accelerate commercial scaling of enablement within our Sales and Account Management teams.
  • Understand external trends and insights about our users, products, and industry and help shape the positioning of our solution.
  • Serve as senior stakeholder when needed to help ensure strategic deals are executed well, sometimes serving on the broader ‘pitch team’ for such prospects/accounts. 
  • Guide and inform pricing strategy for our solution and its products.
  • Drive cross-company projects that support the scaling of key solution-related processes, for example related to enhancing product analytics.
  • Work on global marketing, PR and event strategy together with the Marketing team
  • Represent Adyen externally as a thought leader in your field.

About you

  • You have a minimum of 5 years of management consulting or related experience
  • You are structured in your way of thinking, take a customer-first mindset, and enjoy working at the intersection of product and commercial strategy 
  • You are an enthusiastic and experienced problem solver; you identify challenges and can design and implement innovative solutions 
  • You are flexible in how you approach different stakeholders & topics and are  always committed and very hands-on in getting things done
  • You have experience with go-to-market strategies, business cases and market studies 
  • You have a strong affinity for numbers and live by an analytical approach
  • You feel comfortable in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment where you will be driving multiple projects whilst continuously evaluating and prioritizing them to maximize impact
  • You can prioritize and communicate efficiently.
  • Past work experience working for a Retailer or within a Retail ecosystem solution provider is a plus.
  • Ability to travel internationally and work across time zones.
