Unified Communications Support Engineer

What does a successful Unified Communications Support Engineer do at Fiserv?

As a technical member within End User Computing- Technology Services organization, the associate administers and operates tasks associated with the local conference rooms, surface hubs, digital signs as well as providing conference room and desktop meeting support for local associates.

What you will do:

  • Accountable for the operational stability, understanding, support, and maintenance of a complex unified communications and voice environment; comprised of multiple business units and multiple support groups while working with a cross functional team of engineers from other technical areas.
  • UC and Voice Technology Support activities, primarily focused on conferencing technologies and web meeting capabilities using Microsoft Teams
  • Support and maintenance of the for the following technologies: Microsoft Teams Meetings and Live Event
  • Microsoft Teams Meeting Rooms
  • Digital signage displays and monitors
  • Other conference room technologies (New or Legacy) such as Poly, Vidyo, Cisco, etc
  • Monitor incidents and requests to support or maintain assets accordingly- Defining and recommending processes for Microsoft Teams use
  • Execution and fine tuning of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks associated with technologies in scope.
  • Participate in maintenance activities, in some cases to be done after regular business hours.he individual will need to follow a set of guidelines and maintenance tasks to effectively operate a highly complex infrastructure environment resulting in an increase to the quality of service within the organization.
  • Follow a stringent change management process to ensure healthy implementation of al changes made to the environment
  • Be an escalation point to other support teams internal and external to the group becoming a key component of our support framework.

What you must have:

  • Ability to understand technical solutions and follow operational artifacts to maintain a set of repeatable procedures required to maintain the health of the conferencing infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with evolving large IT organizations and the changes associated with such level of restructuring.
  • A strong understanding of the deployment and operational aspects of different voice and unified communications technology disciplines such as conference room audio/video solutions.

This role is not eligible to be performed in Colorado, California, New York or Washington.
