Summary
About the Position: This is a Military Technician position with the 416th Theater Engineer Command, 659 Engineer Company, 321 Engineer Battalion, 301 Maneuver Enhancement Brigade located in Fairchild AFB, Washington.

- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete the Unit Administrator Basic Course within 18 months of appointment.
- This position requires the incumbent to successfully complete the Unit Pay Administrator Course within 18 months of appointment.
- This position is subject to Drug Abuse Testing Program requirements.
- This position is subject to the Lautenberg Amendment/Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment to the Gun Control Act of 1968.
- This position requires active membership as a soldier in the U.S. Army Reserve (USAR)
Qualifications
In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1. Monitoring programs for the organization which including pay, personnel, medical readiness, training, or logistics; 2. Process administrative actions using automated systems; and 3. Coordinates various types of meetings and training events. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).

Education

- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

- One year trial/probationary period may be required.

- Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

- Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest.
- New Army Reserve Military Technicians may be authorized moving expenses to their first official duty station. To be eligible to receive moving expenses, you must be a newly appointed Federal civilian employee or have a minimum of a 3-day break in service from previous Federal civilian employment.
