Your Role and Responsibilities
The Parts Unit Cost Analyst is responsible for analyzing and optimizing various parts cost developments within the Services Supply Chain (SSC) parts business and have related findings addressed to the right IBM function such as engineering procurement manufacturing and finance. The main business goal is to ensure the maximization of the cost benefit to SSC and in the end the SSC internal client the Technical Lifecycle Services (TLS) country delivery business units.
Job responsibilities:
- Analyze & improve parts global unit cost in cooperation with different IBM functions
- Structured presentation and follow-up of findings in close cooperation with the SSC Unit Cost Team Leader and management
- Ad-hoc analysis and recommendation of actions / escalation support
- Continuous improvement of the global SSC Unit Cost reporting
- Project Management: acting as stakeholder of projects related to spare parts business globally
- Cost Management: predictive analyses measuring business results against plan and identification of actions for out of line situations
- Control Management: related to performance and achievements against plans of key control points of the parts business
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills and competencies
- Good understanding of large scale processes (operational & financial flows)
- Proper knowledge of English spoken as well as written
- Strong communication skills
- Capable to work in a team in an international environment
- Pro-active and result driven
- Capable to execute and think independent
- Project management experience knowledge of PM toolset
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- SQL DB2 experience MS Excel
- Change management experience / process (re-)engineering
- Supply chain management experience especially reverse logistics
