Unity3D Engineer

Purple, Rock, Scissors has an exciting contract opportunity for a Unity3D Developer to support a large tech client of ours. This is a temporary, contract role for full time hours through the end of the year. This role requires someone who has a deep understanding of spatial positioning principles, a strong proficiency in building 3D interactions and a demonstrated ability to take design concepts from the drawing board to completed feature.

The current team is made up of multi-disciplinary teams of UX Designers, Researchers, Writers, Program Managers, and Engineers: who all care deeply about the people who use their products. This team's mission is to give people superhuman abilities by making information instantly and intuitively accessible. They are focused on making immersive computing accessible to billions of people through mobile immersive XR devices.

Contract opportunity through the end of 2024. Full time hours.

Onsite role for San Francisco or Mountain View, CA however, NYC also acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Working with the UXE team to solve UX problems
• Using Unity3D to construct prototypes
• Interpreting designs together with UX designers
• Translating designs into interactive prototypes
• Iterating on prototypes until alignment with stakeholders
• Integrating and extending existing UX prototypes
• Collaborating with researchers

Requirements/Qualifications

• Expertise in Unity3D workflows
• Strong understanding of spatial positioning and 3D math
• Proficiency in building 3D interactions
• 4+ years working in any 3D game engine (Unity, Unreal, etc)
• Programming skills in a 3D interactive context (VR, AR, or games)
• Experience developing UI in a 3D context
• Demonstrated ability to take design concepts from drawing board to completed feature
• Ability to collaborate and communication effectively is critical
