As a University Relations Recruiter, you'll have a unique opportunity to attract the next generation of Leaders into The Hartford. This position will be responsible for managing the end-end recruiting process for selected Internship, Leadership Development, and Early Career Programs. As a member of this high energy team, you will play an active role in our on-campus recruiting strategies, branding, and diversity initiatives. You will be provided the opportunity to work closely with a variety of stakeholders including business leaders, HR Generalist, hiring managers, academic partners, and college students.

This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work arrangement. Candidates who live near our Hartford, CT office will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday). Candidates who do not live near an office will have a remote work arrangement, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage full lifecycle recruiting process for internship, leadership development, and early career programs
  • Develop and execute a recruiting strategy for assigned schools and programs
  • Build and maintain key relationships with career services, faculty, administrators, and student organizations at assigned schools
  • Manage, coordinate, participate and execute on-campus/virtual recruiting events including career fairs, info sessions, presentations, on-campus interviews, and other special events
  • Coordinate and manage our undergraduate programs (Freshman Experience, Early Immersion and Summer Intern Program)
  • Provide consultative services and subject matter expertise around early career professionals and campus recruiting
  • Utilize recruiting tools and technology to capture key metrics that are used to influence strategies and school selection

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of two years of full life cycle recruiting experience required; combination of in-house and search firm experience preferred; campus recruiting experience helpful
  • Experience using technology to streamline the recruitment process to reach both passive and active candidates
  • Excellent relationship building and consultative skills and the ability to partner with and coach business partners and stakeholders
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, decision making, public speaking and presentation skills
  • Passion for the early career professional space
  • Drive to deliver results, take accountability and ownership of work, and strive for continuous improvement

  • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced, ever changing environment
  • College degree or equivalent work experience required
  • Able and willing to travel (regionally) to campuses up to 10-20% of the time during the spring and fall abiding by company and CDC guidelines (subject to change with virus)
  • Experience with Workday, Handshake and social media platforms preferred

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:

$84,080 - $126,120
