About the Role

Anatomage, Inc. is looking for an Unreal Engine Artist for our Science Table product. In this position, you will be working on high quality real-time visualization of various science simulations, working with other 3D modelers and SW engineers

Requirements

Responsibilities of the Role

Understands the design requirements for the visual aspects of the simulations, translates the visualization ideas to the scene with related components - mesh quality optimizations, materials and lighting development, rigging and animations development. Working with global teams of people on multiple projects in parallel, focusing on the visual artist role in Unreal Engine, working with many other 3D modelers, managing asset workflows around Unreal Engine. Work closely with C++ developers in the team. Keen on the latest technologies and trends in real-time 3D visualizations, guide other 3D modelers on best practices using Unreal Engine.

This position is full time, on-site at our headquarters location in Santa Clara.

Minimum Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience as a 3D artist/modeler.
• 2+ years of experience with 3D modeling tools.
• 2+ years of experience with Unreal Engine.

Required Qualifications :

• Portfolio demonstrating artistic sense on colors, materials and lighting.
• Portfolio demonstrating abilities translating concept sketches to realistic 3D scenes.
• Portfolio should include projects using Unreal Engine.
• Proficient with at least one 3D modeling tool - Maya/Blender/Zbrush, etc.
• Proficient with at least one 2D graphics tool - Photoshop/Illustrator, etc.
• Experienced in asset workflows around Unreal Engine.
• Experienced in materials development in Unreal Engine.
• Experienced in lighting development in Unreal Engine.
• Experienced in animations in Unreal Engine.
• Experienced in basic VFX in Unreal Engine.
• Basic understanding of Blueprint scripting in Unreal Engine.

Desired Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in Unreal Engine.
• Experienced in material shaders using HLSL.
• Experienced in developing riggings for skeletal meshes.
• Experienced in ray-traced scene properties and optimizations in Unreal Engine.
• Experienced in external advanced material and simulation tools - Substance/Houdini.
• Experienced in advanced Niagara particle systems and scriptings.
• Experienced in advanced Blueprint scripting or C++ development in Unreal Engine.
• Experience working closely with SW engineers on highly interactive 3D applications or Games.
• Experience or education in general sciences - Physics/Chemistry/Biology.
