Ready At Dawn is looking for talented and passionate Unreal Tools Programmer to join us in creating high profile original AAA titles.Unreal Tools Programmers are responsible for creating and maintaining custom tooling with the Unreal Engine. Unreal Tools Programmers are expected to partner with other engineering groups and content teams to help build new pipelines and workflows within the Unreal Engine.

Required Skills

Unreal Tools Programmer - Ready At Dawn Responsibilities:

• Maintain and extend Ready at Dawn's custom Unreal tooling and asset management pipelines
• Improve content pipelines, with a focus on reducing iteration times and maximizing polish
• Research and implement artist tools for use in Maya
• Prototype and pitch creative and engine-efficient content solutions for complex problems
• Work closely with artists, designers, and engine/gameplay programmers to develop easy to use technologies and prioritize feature roll-out
• Debug pipeline issues as needed and propose solutions to solve them cleanly
• Maximize the team's production efficiency through various pipeline and tools improvement

Minimum Qualification

Minimum Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience in developing tools for game development
• Experience working with C/C++ and Python
• Proven balance of technical, aesthetic, problem solving, and communication skills
• Professional experience working with Unreal and custom tools
• Effective communication skills
• Experience filtering diverse feedback from artists, designers, and programmers and propose effective solutions
• Broad knowledge of games and game development, with the experience to critically analyze

Preferred Qualification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Understanding of general artistic aesthetics
• Shipped AAA title
• Experience with C#
• Experience working on content processing pipelines for game engines
• Experience working with distributed computing platforms
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
