Updates Editor, Personal Finance (Remote)

Responsibilities:
The Updates Editor will be responsible for fact checking, updating and editing personal finance content on Slickdeals Money. You’ll be responsible for executing content & SEO updates across a number of articles, roundups and reviews covering all things banking, credit cards: card usage, issuers, rewards, points and miles, credit scores, advice, personal loans, taxes, news and more.
You will work closely with our content & SEO teams to optimize, repurpose and refresh content. You’ll also perform top edits on new content, help maintain the CMS and spearhead other content initiatives.
You may also be asked to perform other editorial duties on an as-needed basis.
Requirements:
- Excellent grammar and impeccable attention to detail
- Ability to communicate effectively with freelance editors and content strategists to ensure stories are accurate and optimized for SEO
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including an expert level knowledge of English language, spelling and punctuation
- Familiarity with the AP style guide (we have an in-house guide, but it borrows heavily from AP)
- Ability to handle multiple projects with close attention to priority and tight deadlines
- Strong proficiency in Wordpress or similar CMS (familiarity with Gutenberg is a plus!)
- 2-3 years of experience writing/editing in the Personal Finance space
