Job summary

We are looking for an upholstery sewing operator to join our team, with significant experience in using the sewing machine to join, assemble, hem or reinforce patterns to make complete products of specific chair lines.

Required Requirements:

At least 5/8 years of experience in the role of upholstery sewing operator

Read work instruction & daily schedule for product assignments.

Operate single, double, or triple needle sewing machines to sew patterns together.

Meet outstanding quality requirements.

Troubleshoot machine and material problems.

Perform minor adjustments on a sewing machine.

Perform set-up and trial runs for all new models.

Take inventory of parts at workstation and in the department.

Rotate to other jobs in the department

Proactive to come up with new ideas to reduce Emery consumption & improved quality & processes.

Educational background in upholstery sewing (preferred)

Communication skills

Responsibility

Upholstery sewing production

Preparation of shapes, assembly of coverings and padding

Maintain a clean work area

Report all machine down time to team leader

Comply with all safety policies and procedures

Perform all other duties assigned

Employment contract: full time, permanent
