Upper Extremities Sales Engineer

Location: must live in theWest or Central Region (California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico, Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Illinois)

What you will do

  • As an Upper Extremities Sales Engineer, you work with a high degree of intensity and commitment to articulate the value and sell Stryker Upper Extremities digital products that meet our customers' needs.
  • You are responsible for becoming the resident Upper Extremities expert as you work with a sophisticated audience of surgeons and healthcare professionals.
  • You live your work, feeding off the extreme demands of Upper Extremities, not counting hours but rather lives impacted.
  • A person who is energized by chaos, you organize your materials and sort possible solutions quickly during operating room consultations and meetings.
  • A person who understands the clinical aspects and advantages of the Upper Extremities portfolio, while also understanding the technical benefits and values of the complimentary digital solutions.
  • A person who seeks better knowledge of your own products, but of competitors' offerings and the market, building credibility with surgeons.
  • A person who is resourceful, organized, and can communicate across department and divisional lines.
  • A driven person who can drive sales to meet and exceed sales targets. This involves working with account stakeholders, both clinical and technical, as well as account representatives across Stryker.
  • A person who's capable of coordinating and managing the technical sales process to drive the sales of Upper Extremities digital solutions.
  • A person who will serve as the technical product expert to assist in sales and marketing activities, including the development of sales proposals, systems solutions, the completion of RFI/RFPs, product training, and beyond.
  • A person who can build and manage relationships. This includes internal and external relationships.
  • A person who can solve complex problems, takes a new perspective on existing solutions, and exercises judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
  • A person who has strong system knowledge in desktop/laptop computer systems, including Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X operating systems. Strong knowledge in mobile and tablet systems.
  • A person who has experience in augmented (AR) and virtual reality (VR). Experience with Microsoft Hololens, Meta Oculus, and other headset devices is strongly preferred.
  • A person with knowledge of PACS/VNA systems and the DICOM communication standard.
  • Strong knowledge of computer networking and LAN/WAN architecture, including TCP/IP, LAN, IEEE 802.11 WLAN, and DNS.
  • Strong knowledge in computer system administration, including LDAP, MFA, and current cyber security standards.
  • A person who can deliver convincing presentations of Stryker solutions to all levels within the customer's organization to include, but not limited to: Physicians; CXO's; OR Directors; IT Personnel; Engineer Personnel; Biomed; and Purchasing departments.
  • Able to travel domestic up to 60%.

What you will need

  • Bachelor's Degree or 4+ years' experience in a clinical healthcare or sales role (or a combination of the two)
  • 1+ years of Sales or Sales Engineering Experience Preferred
  • Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services, including marketing strategy and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems
  • Excellent organizational skills and knowledge in the use of current office technologies (MSOffice suite, databases, etc.)
  • Must be comfortable in emergency/operating room environments
  • Ability to participate in and attend sales meetings and professional association meetings outside regular business hours, as required
  • Must adhere to compliance and the principles of responsibility (AdvaMed) by maintaining the privacy and confidentiality of information, protecting the assets of the organization, acting with ethics and integrity, reporting non-compliance, and adhering to applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations, accreditation and licenser requirements, and Company's policies and procedures.

  • $120,000 - $180,000 salary and may be eligible to earn commission and/or bonuses + Benefits.
